4 Barton Cottage is a charming 2-bedroom terraced cottage
within a courtyard setting in the quaint village of Down Thomas.
The Cottage is double-glazed and centrally heated and was completely
renovated in 2003.The Cottage has a quirky character with solid
oak floor, beams and wood burning stove. The Cottage ticks
all the right boxes for those looking for a real rural escape.


Down Thomas is an ideal destination for those who like walking,
in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB).
There are a number of walks with circular routes throughout the Parish
of Wembury. In either direction from the Cottage it is only a
matter of minutes before you join the South West coastal footpath,
with stunning sea views of the famous Plymouth Breakwater and
Cornish coast. Wildlife is in abundance on these walks, with farm
animals in fields all around.

Village life in Down Thomas consists of a thirteen century pub with a good
reputation for food and a local convenience shop selling most items you
would wish for whilst on holiday. Within a few minutes drive you can enjoy
a fine dining experience at the historic Langdon Court Hotel or for
a more traditional fish and chip menu, the Eddystone Inn delivers


The large open plan lounge and dining room has a solid oak floor,
character oak beams and a wood burning stove for cold wintery nights
to snuggle up in front. One of the comfortable sofas converts into
a sofa bed for that extra guest.

    It has a pleasent rural garden view.









  • The Twin bedroom again has quality bed linens and curtains.
    The twin beds can link and zip together to make a super kingsize bed.















  • The Bathroom is fitted with a Toilet, Sink and
    Bath, with over shower and mixer taps

















    • Both bedrooms are fully carpeted and all rooms have central heating.

    • All towels and bed linen are provided.

    • Electricity and gas are included in the price.


    • Sorry but we Do Not allow Smoking or Pets within the Cottage.

    • Please arrive after 3pm on day of arrival and vacate by 10am on day of departure.

    • You have free use of the Indoor Heated Swimming Pool at Bovisand Lodge Estate, directions on how to
      find it can be found in your welcome folder.
      The pool is open from 9.00am until 9.00pm daily (except for a few private lessons during term time).
